Square One

Square One

Our first week in the United States(US) is almost gone and I already can tell It's going to be an awesome experience. St. John's University is our square one and New York City(NYC) its context, a chaotic but at the same time harmonic context.

So far we've taken some classes to enhance our English skills while in the US and have participated in some cultural enrichment excursions and meetings to help our acclimatization process to the new higher-level education environment we're about to face.

To be honest it's difficult being in a city like NYC for this short period of time and having to be writing this blog entry, but in the end it's a great opportunity to think about what we're experiencing and to share it with others passing through the same situation.

Until now, the Fulbright's Pre-Academic program has exceeded my expectations, both the Fulbrighters and the St. John's Staff. There's still a long way to go but each day I feel more prepared to embrace the challenges  that Graduate School will present.

  1. The program certainly does keep you busy! I'm glad you're getting a lot out of it so far.

  2. There is saying that says that`` no expectation ,no disappointment ``. It is a great pleasure to find out that we had expectations but did not get any disappointment at all from what we expected .
