The Heroes and Values

Yesterday in my listening class, we were taking note on the lecture about the 3 folk heroes representing the American Values. Speaking of heroes, It could be anybody or even a fiction figure that doing the magnificent things for society. Cowboy, Bill gates, and Superhero are the examples of the traditional heroes in the US.

Cowboy is mostly known from the movies or even the fashion ads like jeans. So what a unique thing about him. Back to the history, Cowboy was the one who could live without demanding money for life. The could live in extrime condition. So that's why they're representing the value of Courage, Freedom, and self-relience. Other than the cowboy is the entrepreneur. Who is the famous entrepreneur that you know?? well, let's say Bill Gates and Steve Jobs-my idol. Entrepreneur is someone who starts his own bussinese. He is the icon of success. Agnd what do they do???n
"Be smart, work hard, and have a good ideas, then take the future in your hands!".

The superhero is the last of the 3 folk heroes. Who is your favorit superhero? Batman, superman, Ironman, Captain of America, Spiderman, the Incredible family?? Mine is Batman. The superheroes represent the values of Justice and Law. They punished the Bad and admired the Good.

Regardless than all above, I think we could pick our own heroes depending on what values we worship. Even, the heroes might not be someone famous. You could pick people around you and the good thing is you could be the hero for somebody. How could I tell??? Because you just were guys... Remember the ASL I posted yesterday?? You were hero that day for every homeless you helped. And what values you brought yesterday???
